The more images, the less we see! In the age of images, no one really watches. We are blinded by the quantity, blurred by the infernal flood, dazzled by the headlines and the scoops, impressed by all the posters, hypnotized by the pubs, stupefied by the TVs ... The project of this book starts from this paradox: invaded through pictures, we must relearn how to look. To defend ourselves. To see for ourselves. This book offers a pedagogy of the gaze. Without scholarly analysis, just using his eyes. Watching, calmly, in detail, the images. Learn to watch, there is so much to see!
Born August 9, 1951 in Italy, Claude Maggiori took part in the founding of the daily Liberation in 1972, as artistic director, then conceived and designed the new formula of the newspaper in 1981. At the same time, in 1980, he founded the Editorial agency, specializing in the conception and design of press and "new forms" of newspapers. In 1984, he relaunched and directed the editorial staff of L'Echo des Savanes, then designed and produced television programs, in particular "Chocs", on TF1. He also created the new formulas for Le Nouvel Observateur, Télérama, VSD, Entreprise, Les Inrockuptibles, Zurban, d'Enjeux les Echos, Le Minotaure ... and designed the graphic lines of all the MK2 cinemas.
